Mary Ebersole–Having been teaching and tutoring in San Antonio for over 30 years, I am Texas certified in Math Gr6-College Algebra, English Gr6-12, History Gr6-12, and Special Education K-12. Most of my experience lies in high school math, although I have worked with all of the various subjects. I specialize in addressing students’ personal goals by focusing on their individual needs for success.
I begin the first session asking questions of the parent and the student, such as, “What prompted you to call a tutor?” / “What is your goal for this class?” / “What do you see as the main thing standing in the way of this goal?” / “What is your grade right now?” From these few questions, my experience allows me to discern exactly what practices need addressing, and we begin.

I am available for in-home (limited mostly to north central San Antonio) or online tutoring. In-home provides the advantage of clear step-by-step explanation, while online allows convenient sharing of homework and notes from the student’s classroom.
